School Aims

We inspire Islam in the minds and hearts of our children. We instill Islamic values such as honesty, dedication and patience in them. We preach “Islam is the religion of peace”. To achieve our aims, we provide education to young Muslims according to Islamic principles which mould them into upright citizens and true Muslims. The secular education imparted at Al-Jamiatul-Fikriya Islamic English School is of excellent quality, on par with international standards.

Activities at Al-Jamiatul-Fikriya Islamic English School  

At Al-Jamiatul-Fikriya Islamic English School education is child-centered. The needs of each individual is given due importance in the teaching-learning process.

Core subjects (Mathematics, English, Science, History, and Geography) are supplemented by foundation subjects (Humanities, Information Technology, Art and Physical Education). All subjects are taught by well qualified, trained and competent teachers. Arabic and Islamic studies are taught by qualified and experienced maulanas: Qari, Haafiz and Ulema, Urdu is taught from Sr. Kg onwards and Arabic from Std 1.  Both languages are compulsory for all students. Recitation of Quraan with correct intonation starts from Jr. KG.
           
Importance is given to the learning of other languages besides English, Urdu and Arabic, such as Hindi and Persian from Std III. Marathi from Std IV. French and Sanskrit from Std V as an optional subject.
           
Besides the academics we also encourage all types of sports (indoors and outdoors) which include swimming, team games such as football, volley ball, basket ball, cricket, table tennis. Our teams have participated in inter-school football matches and displayed excellent sportsmanship under the supervision of experienced coaches.
           
The Annual Sports Day and Annual Prize Distribution Day are  occasions for the school to recognize and encourage the talents and skills among the young sportsmen and scholars of the school.
           
A full range of co-curricular activities is offered after school hours for students from Std I upwards, such as School Choir, Environmental Club, Chess, Computer and Internet Club, Pottery, Debating and Public Speaking.
           
Field trips are organized throughout the academic year by the teachers concerned. They are related to the lessons in specific subjects.
           
The school maintains close contact with parents as our teachers are always available for consultation by prior appointment. Thus we achieve our task as committed educators with full co-operation from our parents.
           
Namaz is an essential component of school activities and at appropriate timings our students and staff congregate to offer namaaz and dua.
